How these Picks were selected
Within each line type we selected the product family with the largest single, documented retailer five-star count in the listings reviewed. We examined lower ratings and written owner reports separately. Counts from different shops were not added together, and neither written nor social posts were converted into invented votes.
What the numbers mean
The monofilament snapshot shows 1,474 five-star out of 1,910 ratings (77.2%), and 141 one- or two-star (7.4%). The braid snapshot shows 473 out of 594 (79.6%), and 52 one- or two-star (8.8%). These are dated retailer product-family pools, not a 0–100 quality score or an estimate of unique, identified anglers. Retailer counts change over time.
Product and model limits
Each count covers a product family with multiple strengths or package options. The Omniflex pool includes some nonfishing uses. The PowerPro pool includes some rating-only and incentivized entries.
